How do we climb?

Ehr comes the argument of battling one's own binding. Where does it end? Hungers abound in one's mind and heart, lost in the drunkeness of your addictions.

People fight their addicitons, but sometimes they don't know which ideal to grapple to to pull yourself out. None seem strong enough, or that your grip on it is too slick, like pulling yourself out of a rushing river by grabbing small roots sticking out of the riverbank. Some are slick, some are weak, some seem too big to get a good hold on.

What do you grab? What do you hold on to? Can you plan your own turning point? I have yet to see it. Sometimes, in the darkness, we beg our creator for ... anything, anything to help us over that edge, with the gumption to keep running, no matter the noise or the difficulty.

The rain in our face, gravel slipping underfoot and the wind threatening to throw us backwards, we want to quit, face the other direction and slide down the slope we worked so hard to climb.

How can we just start climbing?
How?
